Eastern vs Western Attars: Which Suits Pakistan's Weather?

FAHA's attars fall into two broad styles: traditional Eastern attars and modern Western-style attars inspired by popular designer scents. Both are alcohol-free, but they feel very different. Here's how to choose.

Eastern Attars

Rooted in South Asian and Middle Eastern tradition: oud, rose, musk, amber, saffron, sandalwood, jasmine and spice. Rich, deep and often long-lasting.

Examples: SHAMAMA, OUD TAYYABA, FASLI GULAB, MUKHALAT RAEES, WHITE MUSK.

Western-Style Attars

Modern scents in oil form, inspired by famous designer perfumes: fresh citrus, aquatic, aromatic and sweet profiles. Brighter and more contemporary.

Examples: BLUE RUSH, OCEAN RUSH, THE KING, BLOOM. Find more on our Find Your FAHA Match page.

Which Suits Pakistan's Weather?

Summer: Western-style fresh and aquatic attars feel lightest in the heat. Soft Eastern musks work well too. See summer attars.

Winter: Eastern attars come alive: oud, shamama and amber. See winter attars.

The Best of Both

Many people keep one of each: a fresh Western-style attar for daytime and an Eastern attar for Jummah and evenings. CHAAR YAAR lets you choose any four in 12 ml.

FAHA Fragrance is an independent Pakistani brand. Western-style attars are our own creations inspired by scent profiles of designer perfumes; we are not affiliated with any designer brand.
